Privacy Policy

One Liner is designed to minimize data collection and keep your research under your control.

1. The short version

One Liner is local-first. Your saved research stays on your machine. Keyword lookups fetch live results from public sources.

2. Data stored locally

The App stores your projects, seed phrases, discovered keywords, BSR information, competition scores, notes, settings, and exports in a database on your machine. One Liner does not upload this research library to a One Liner cloud account or server.

3. Live keyword lookups

When you run research, the App connects to public sources including Amazon, Google, YouTube, DuckDuckGo, and Steam to retrieve live autocomplete or market results. Those sources receive the network information ordinarily required to answer a request, which may include your IP address, request details, and user-agent information. Their own privacy policies govern their handling of that data.

4. License validation

The App may compute a hardware fingerprint locally for license validation only. It is never transmitted to One Liner or any third party and is never stored on any server. Activation status and related validation information may be retained locally on your machine.

5. Data we do not collect

• Your saved keyword library or project history
• Your BSR records, competition scores, or notes
• Your local database contents
• Your locally computed hardware fingerprint
• Passwords or payment-card details inside the desktop App

6. Website and purchase services

The marketing website may receive standard hosting logs needed for security and delivery. Lemon Squeezy provides checkout, tax processing, refunds, and license key delivery as the Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy processes payment and billing information under its own privacy policy. One Liner stores only the license information required to activate the App locally.

7. Exports, backups, and deletion

Exports and backups are created only at your direction and saved to locations you choose. You control retention. To remove research data, delete it in the App or uninstall the App and remove its local data directory, subject to any backups you created.

8. Security

Local-first storage reduces centralized exposure, but the security of your research also depends on your machine. Keep your operating system current, use device encryption, maintain backups, and restrict access to your user account.

9. Children

One Liner is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect children's personal information.

10. International and legal rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding personal data. Because One Liner does not receive your local research database, requests concerning that database must be completed on your machine. Any personal data held by a payment or hosting provider is governed by that provider and applicable law.

11. Changes and contact
